Last revised: 2026-08-15 (version 2026-08-15-v4 — says plainly that this is a public competition and what that publishes, that the name you compete under is yours to choose, and that the photo and the biography are not part of it; and sets the minimum age at the age of majority of the account's country, with no parental-consent route.)
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of MeetPlayNow ("the platform"). By creating an account or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
MeetPlayNow is an online platform for amateur sports tournaments held in Bangkok, Thailand. The platform allows players to register for tournaments, pay entry fees, view their match results, and consult public rankings.
This is a public competition, and that is part of what the service is. Taking part means that the display name you choose, your position, your rating and your match results are published and can be seen by anyone, without an account — and, because the ranking can be read one city at a time, that the city you play in is visible too. There is no version of this service in which you compete invisibly, in the same way that there is none at a tournament held on a court. You are free to choose the name you compete under — a nickname is entirely acceptable, and your legal name is asked only if you need an invoice — but you are not free to take part without a name being shown. If that is not acceptable to you, do not create an account.
Two things are not part of this and are entirely up to you: your profile photo and your biography. Each is asked separately, each is off until you turn it on, and refusing both has no effect on your account, your matches or your ranking.
The platform is operated by:
GiBSeS OÜ — Juhkentali 8, 10132 Tallinn, Estonia. Registered in the Estonian Business Register (Äriregister) under registry code 17231761.
2. Eligibility
MeetPlayNow is for adults only. You may register if you have reached the age of majority in the country your account belongs to: 20 years for accounts in Thailand, 18 years elsewhere. We do not offer this service to minors and we do not operate a parental-consent route: an account whose date of birth is below the threshold is refused at registration, not created and restricted.
The threshold follows the age of majority rather than a single number because this service publishes a competitive record, and that publication rests on the contract you enter into with us — which requires the capacity to enter into one. In Thailand that capacity is reached at 20 (Civil and Commercial Code), and Thai data protection law (PDPA Section 20) treats consent given below it as requiring a guardian. Rather than build a guardian route we have set the door where the law puts it.
We ask for your date of birth when you create your account, and you must give it. We do not use it to build a profile of you: we use it for the age rules in these Terms — the threshold above, and the rule in section 10 that a photo of a person under 18 is never published outside the platform. If you already had an account before this version of the Terms, we will ask you for it once. Until you have given it, we treat your age as unknown, and apply the section 10 photo rule to you — nothing of yours is published outside the platform. It does not put you below the registration threshold and does not close an account you already have: that threshold is applied when an account is opened, not afterwards.
3. Account
You agree to:
- Provide truthful and current information at registration.
- Keep only one account per person.
- Maintain the confidentiality of your password and not share it with third parties.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access at support@meetplaynow.com.
We reserve the right to suspend, lock, or close accounts that violate these Terms, including in cases of abuse, multiple-account fraud, or impersonation.
4. Entry Fees and Payments
- Tournament entry fees are processed via Stripe.
- The applicable price is shown at registration time.
- Refund policy is set by each tournament organizer and is shown on the tournament page. MeetPlayNow facilitates the refund flow but does not guarantee the organizer's refund decision unless the tournament is canceled.
- If a tournament is canceled by the organizer or by MeetPlayNow, paid entry fees are refunded according to the cancellation rules disclosed on the tournament page.
5. Credits & Payments
- MeetPlayNow uses an internal credits balance where 1 credit = 1 THB. Credits may be earned for free (sign-up, referrals, achievements, photos, prizes) or purchased with a card via Stripe.
- Purchased credits are a prepayment for services. They can be used to pay tournament entry fees and shop purchases. They have no cash value, are not transferable, and are not refundable to your card.
- When an entry paid with credits is refunded under the applicable refund policy, the credits are re-credited to your wallet rather than returned as cash.
- Full details on earning, buying, spending, expiry, and refunds of credits are set out in the Credits Regulation.
6. Platform Role
MeetPlayNow is a platform connecting players and organizers. Unless explicitly stated, we do not organize tournaments ourselves. Each tournament is the responsibility of its organizer, including event logistics, on-site safety, score validation, and refund decisions.
7. Conduct
You agree to play and behave fairly. The following are grounds for suspension or permanent ban:
- Unsportsmanlike behavior, harassment, threats, or hate speech.
- Match-fixing, score manipulation, or use of doping.
- Creating multiple accounts to bypass rankings, bans, or refund policies.
- Posting illegal, defamatory, or harmful content on profiles, bios, or messages.
8. Intellectual Property
All platform content (code, design, brand) is owned by GiBSeS OÜ. By using the platform, you grant MeetPlayNow a non-exclusive, royalty-free, limited license to display your match results, your ranking history, the display name you compete under, and the data strictly necessary to operate the platform — plus your profile photo and biography for as long as you have consented to them, and no longer. This license ends when you delete your account, except for data we are legally required to retain.
9. User Content
You remain the owner of any content you upload (avatar, bio, etc.). You warrant that you have the right to share such content and that it does not infringe third-party rights. We may remove content that violates law or these Terms. Photos of a match are covered by section 10, which adds to this one.
10. Match Photos and Your Image
What this section is about. After a match you can upload photos of it — of yourself, of your opponents, of the court and the people around it. This section says what we may do with those photos and with the faces in them. You stay the owner of the photo. Nothing here transfers it to us.
Nothing happens automatically. Uploading a photo does not, on its own, give us permission to use it. When you upload, we ask you two separate questions, and you can say yes to one and no to the other:
- Use on MeetPlayNow — we may show the photo on the platform: the match page, the tournament page, your public profile, and our in-app or email announcements about the platform.
- Use outside MeetPlayNow, to promote MeetPlayNow — we may also publish the photo on our own social media accounts (for example Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X) and use it in advertising and promotional material, online and printed.
You can give the first and refuse the second. Refusing either one is free of consequences: your photo, your match, your ranking and your account are unaffected.
What we may and may not do with it. For the uses you have ticked, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, display, publish and distribute the photo, and to crop, resize, compress it and add our logo or the match details. We will not alter the content of the image in a way that misrepresents what happened or places anyone in a false light. We will not sell the photo, licence it to somebody else for their own advertising, or use it in a way that suggests you endorse a product other than MeetPlayNow.
You are speaking for everyone in the frame. By uploading, you confirm that:
- you took the photo, or you hold the rights to it;
- every identifiable person in it has agreed with you that it may be used in the ways you are authorising here, including — if you ticked the second box — publication on social media and in advertising;
- nobody in it is under 18.
If someone in the photo has not agreed, do not upload it. If a person shown in a photo tells us they did not agree, we take the photo down. A statement you make to us here that turns out not to be true is yours to answer for towards that person.
Nobody under 18, ever, outside the platform. If you are under 18, or if any person in the photo is under 18, the photo is never published outside the platform: no social media, no advertising, no promotional material. This holds whatever permission has been ticked, by you or by anyone else — a consent cannot lift this rule. It is the reason we ask for your date of birth (section 2), and until you have given it we treat your age as unknown and apply this rule to you.
No payment is due. You give these permissions free of charge. No fee, royalty, credit or other compensation is owed to you, or to anyone appearing in the photo, now or at any later time. MeetPlayNow may award platform credits for contributing photos: those credits are an incentive to take part, not a payment for the use of an image, and they do not create a claim to anything further.
Where, and for how long. The permissions apply worldwide — a social media post has no border — and last for as long as you leave them in place, and no longer, subject to the paragraph below.
You can change your mind — and here is exactly what that does. You can withdraw either permission at any time, from /dashboard/privacy or by writing to privacy@meetplaynow.com. From that moment we stop making any new use of the photo, we remove it from the platform, and we remove it from the social media accounts and channels we control, within 30 days.
What withdrawal cannot do is reach what has already left our hands. A post that has been shared, screenshotted, re-posted by somebody else, indexed by a search engine or saved by a viewer does not come back. Printed material already distributed stays distributed. Withdrawal works for the future; it is not a recall. Please take this into account before you tick the second box — it is the reason we ask for it separately.
The same applies when you delete your account: we remove your photos from the platform and from our own channels, and copies that had already left them are not always recoverable.
If you appear in someone else's photo. You can ask us to remove a photo you appear in, even if you did not upload it and even if you have no account, by writing to privacy@meetplaynow.com. We do not require you to explain why.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable EU consumer law, MeetPlayNow's liability is limited to direct, foreseeable damages arising from a breach of these Terms. We are not liable for:
- Acts or omissions of tournament organizers.
- Physical injury sustained at a tournament venue.
- Service interruptions due to causes beyond our reasonable control (force majeure, ISP outage, third-party provider failure).
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under EU consumer law.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice and the new version will be published at /terms. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
13. Termination
You may close your account at any time from /dashboard/privacy. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, with notice where possible.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Estonia, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
15. Disputes
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the competent courts of Tallinn, Estonia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you may have to bring proceedings before the courts of your country of residence.
